5 Must Visit Breweries to Visit In Denver This Weekend (Colorado) – With so many of our readers in Denver this weekend for the GABF, we thought we’d mention a couple of ‘must-visit’ breweries that you have to hit when you’re out on the town.
Start with Renegade Brewing over in the Santa Fe Arts district. (Try their The Joose Is Loose Hazy IPA).
River North Brewery is a must-visit while in Denver, they specialize in Belgian styles and barrel-aged creations. (Try everything).
The beers are great at Station 26 Brewing and so is the location, a repurposed firehouse in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood. (Try their Mango Habanero Gose).
And as we’ve reported, not a lot of American craft breweries deal with true English-style cask ales in the states. Hogshead Brewery does. (Try a Boys Bitter when you’re there).
We’re big fans of Crooked Stave and they’re tapping special releases all weekend! (Try everything you can).
On the Big Screen – One of this fall’s most anticipated new movies opens this weekend and it’s the sequel to Ridley Scott’s origional Sci-Fi classic Blade Runner.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Sicario and Arrival) Blade Runner 2049 stars Ryan Gosling as a young and ambitious blade runner who discovers a long-buried secret that forces him to track down the original android hunter, Rick Deckard (again played by Harrison Ford), who’s been missing for thirty years
The Biggest Oktoberfest Celebration On The Planet Outside of Munich (Blumenau, Brazil) – We were kind of amazed to learn that the biggest Oktoberfest festival outside of Munich, Germany is now taking place in Brazil. Oktoberfest Blumenau 2017 is a celebration of German traditions from all over the world and this year’s 19 day festival (October 4th-22nd) has just started so you’ve so you’ve plenty of time to call in sick and book you’re airfare.

We’ll be hitting up something new from Stone Brewing this weekend that’s fruit-forward but not at all shy. An early fall farewell to summer, Stone Vengeful Spirit IPA is a 7.3% ABV unfiltered India Pale Ale w/Pineapple & Mandarin orange, which was abundantly brewed using five different citrusy hop varieties.
