Early Fall Drinking up the Hudson River (Beacon, NY) – Wine isn’t the only thing that the Hudson Valley is known for! The 5th annual Hudson River Craft Beer Festival returns to Riverfront Park this Saturday September 16th and it promises to be the region’s best craft beer festival yet. Come and sample over 180 craft beers from over 90 of America’s best breweries while enjoying live music, delicious artisan food and spectacular Hudson River views.
On The Big Screen – One of this season’s smaller movies is also one that is getting the best reviews and it stars one of our favorite actors, Jeremy Renner. Wind River tells the tale of a veteran tracker with a troubled past (Renner) whose investigation into the murder of a young Native American becomes his personal journey to redemption.
TV Time & Steaming – It took more than two seasons for AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead to become more than just a West Coast Walking Dead spinoff, with a weaker family of characters, and a much less compelling storyline. But it finally found its rhythm just before the Season 3 midseason, and things started to get intense. Last Sunday Fear the walking returned for another eight segment run and were hoping this post-apocalyptic drama saga continues it’s winning ways.
Midwest Brew Review For You (Minneapolis, MN) – The 17th annual Autumn Brew Review craft beer festival will return at the historic Grain Belt Brewery complex in Northeast Minneapolis this Saturday, September 16th. This year’s celebration, one of the largest and oldest beer events in the state, will showcase more that 140 of the region’s most exciting breweries in a very outdoor setting. C’mon… what else does one need?
THE ACB WEEKEND BEER PICK
We’ll be celebrating this weekend with a nitro-infused stout we brought back from our craft beer journey over to Ireland and a visit to The White Hag Brewery. The Hag & Hare Irish Coffee Stout is a 6.5% ABC nitro-infused collaborative ale that they did with another acclaimed Irish brewery Kinnegar.
