Oktoberfest Season is ON! (Richmond, VA) – And in keeping with this time of year, the 48th annual Richmond Oktoberfest is returning to the Old Dominion Building at the Richmond International Raceway this weekend and it promises to be an awesome throwdown. This year’s two-evening event (Oct 21st-22nd) continues as Virginia’s largest German/American Oktoberfest celebration and is said to draw visitors from all over the world. Expect all the essentials like bratwurst, knockwurst, sauerkraut, and pretzels. And, most important of all expect Bier! Lots and lots of Bier. Prost!
On the Big Screen– One of Hollywood’s last dependable action-heroes has a new sequel opening this weekend that if it’s as good as the original was, could be fun. Tom Cruise returns as the iconic fugitive on the run in, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back who uncovers a secret government conspiracy that could change his life forever. Bombastic? Definitely. Fun? Hopefully.
Drink Michigan Beer! (Detroit, MI) – Eastern Market will once again be hosting a legend this weekend, when the 
8th Annual Detroit Fall Beer Festival returns to Motor City. So fasten your seat belts people and get ready for two days (Oct 21st -22nd) of artisan eats and 700 beers provided by 80 of the region’s most exciting craft breweries. This weekend’s celebration is being thrown by the Michigan Brewers Guild (and they’re experts when it comes to this kind of thing) so you absolutely don’t want to miss it!
TV Time – The latest addition to Netflix’s growing family of New York City-based Marvel Comics superhero sagas Luke Cage, recently debuted and it’s a whole lot of fun! First introduced as a partial character in last year’s brilliant Jessica Jones, Mike Colter reprise his role as Luke Cage, a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who fights crime in Harlem.
