6 Craft Beer Factoids That Nobody Needs

, 6 Craft Beer Factoids That Nobody NeedsEvery media publication is content driven …And with the holidays approaching even craft beer stories are showing signs of slowing down…That forces us into the realm of “Fake News” and “clickbait” like Craft Beer and Sex …So here are six beer factoids from Travelocity that you could probably live without.

Bet you didn’t know that…

Enough craft was produced in the United States last year to fill over 11,000 747 jumbo jetliners. And we’re pretty sure that in spite of 2015’s number’s getting a decent craft beer on most airlines is still a long shot – and more times than not you’ll still be stuck with a Coors.

Or that…

In 1978, there were only a TOTAL of 89 breweries in the continental US and none of them would be considered craft as we understand it today.  Yet by the end of 2015, the Seattle Metro Area had more than 150 breweries and most of them are clearly craft.

Not sure you care but…

If all the craft beer that was produced in the United States 2015, was kegged and then stacked one on top of the other, they would be as tall as the world’s tallest hotel, (which we’ve been informed was the JW Marriott Marquis Dubai) 80,000 times over!

Don’t write off the fact that…

In 2015 the craft beer biz was a $22.3 Billion industry – That’s more than enough cash, to by a fleet of 52 of the world’s largest passenger jets – the vaunted Airbus A380 and 800’s. We’re not sure just how much beer either of these models might hold but refer you to our first totally useless craft beer factoid

And even if you did once know, you’ve probably already forgotten that…

The total weight of all the American craft beer produced in 2015 would equal MORE than 13 of the world’s largest cruise ships, the Harmony of the Seas, so there’s that.
