An Ale In His Honor (Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewing is honoring Ralph Steadman, the legendary artist who’s responsible for more than 50 of the brewery’s most brilliant beer labels and he’s getting his own beer. St. EADman Abby Ale is an 8.3% ABV rich and deeply complex Belgian-style ale that’s adorned with this famous artist’s self-portrait.
Fantastic Galactic (Rouse Hill, AU) – We were recently turned on to something new from Australian Brewery a craft operation near Sydney that has opened up distribution in the states. Brewed and canned in Australia, and rushed to the US to ensure its freshness, Australian Pale Ale is a sessionable 4.8% ABV Pale Ale that’s abundantly brewed using the region’s celebrated Galaxy hops.
Drink California (Chico / San Diego, CA) – Sierra Nevada have teamed up with Karl Strauss on a new California-only IPA collaboration. Unapologetically hoppy and as West Coast-style as they come Sierra Nevada NXS is 6.5% ABV Red IPA and a lyrical homage to the “Golden State.”
Just Desserts (St Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer has just shipped a new Special Release Series beer that’s sweeeeeet! Hazy and brewed with fire-toasted coconuts Schlafly Coconut Crème Ale is 5.5% ABV golden dessert beer that has graduated from the brewery’s small-batch taproom where it debuted in 2016.
Cherry Seasoned & Soured (Ft Bragg, CA) – North Coast Brewing is taking on the Berliner Weisse tradition and they are debuting a fruit-forward spin on it this week. North Coast Tart Cherry Berliner Weisse is a celebration of spring, spontaneous lactic fermentation and tart Montmorency orchard cherries from central Michigan.
