Scheduled for a December 11th release, 2016’s Half Acre Big Hugs Imperial Stout with Coffee is exactly that, a 10% ABV Imperial that they brewed using beans from Dark Matter Coffee.
Firestone Walker Celebrates A New Generation (Venice, CA) – Firestone Walker’s new SoCal Propagator brewhouse recently released their first beer. Unabashedly hopped on Citra, Mosaic and Mandarina hops and unrepentantly unfiltered, Generation 1 Unfiltered IPA is the first new offering from Firestone Walker’s Venice campus, so we’re happy for them.
Sassy, Sweet and Salty (Frederick, MD) – As we move closer to the holidays, certain beers just make more sense and Flying Dog has a new limited release that we think a perfect stocking stuffer. Walking the tightrope between salty and sweet, Brewhouse Rarities Sea Salt Caramel Brown is an unapologetic 7% ABV Brown Ale that celebrates “going both ways.”
Born On Black Friday (Asheville, NC) – Highland Brewing recently jumped on the Black Friday beer train with a holiday release that’s part of the brewery’s Warrior Series. A small pilot batch brewed last year, that fast became a fan favorite, Highland Black Watch Double Chocolate Milk Stout is a ‘high gravity” high with sweet notes of brownie and marshmallow and a lingering dark chocolate finish.
Winter White (St Louis, MO) – Schlafly Beer has just released their take on a German-style Zwicklebier that’s as seasonal as it is surprising. An unfiltered twist on the traditional.
