Oktoberfest Ready (Portland, OR) – Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) just released something special that they brewed to celebrate Bavarian culture and the upcoming Mount Angel Oktoberfest. HUB Mt. Angel Volksbier is a 5% ABV limited edition Bavarian Session Ale that was brewed using rich German yeast along with Hull Melon and NW hops.

Brooklyn’s New Defender (Brooklyn, NY) – Brooklyn Brewery’s 2017 Defender will make its way to shelves, taps and refrigerators this month, with a fresh recipe and the original, classically-inspired hero to rally behind. This year’s Brooklyn Defender IPA is a 5.9% ABV Golden India Pale Ale with a well-muscled hop bitterness, and an incredibly dry finish.

Brewed using the caramel, honey-sweet Brazilian Paixao coffee bean, Alaskan Heritage Coffee Brown Ale is a 7% ABV celebration of fresh roasted flavors and rich English malts.

Distorted (Paso Robles, CA) – As we hinted at earlier this week, Firestone Walker’s Luponic Distortion revolving hop series is shipping now, and the latest version is fueled by three hop varieties from Australia. Only the second time that the ever-evolving series has journeyed ‘Down Under’ for its lead hops,  Firestone Walker Revolution No. 007 is a 5.9% India Pale Ale that’s happy to be hoppy.
